Projects
Our Garfield project
Renovating a building in Garfield for teen mothers and their babies in partnership with Zoe's Place. The building has just been completely framed and a December 2010 opening date is expected. This project was made possible through a generous grant received from the Bergen County Division of Community Development.
Our Waldwick project
The Borough of Oradell donated a vacant parcel of land; an adjoining parcel was purchased with a grant generously provided by the County of Bergen, Division of Community Development. Plans are being finalized for the development of four townhomes pending approval by the Borough of Oradell.
We received a wonderful donation of land from the town of Waldwick to complete the renovation of an existing 1500 square foot 1790 farmhouse. With the help of our amazing volunteers the building will have two 2-bedroom homes, one 3-bedroom home and one 4-bedroom home. Our families will be named this month at which point they will begin their 400 hours of sweat equity.
