On Wednesday, June 3rd, approximately two hundred supporters of HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF BERGEN COUNTY honored the 2009 Builder of the Year Award recipients at The Estate of Florentine Gardens in Rivervale, NJ.  This year's recipients were JOHN ELIAS, of the law firm Sonnenschien, Nath & Rosenthal and NORDSTROM. In addition, Habitat Bergen presented NBC/UNIVERSAL with the Golden Hammer Award for providing Habitat Bergen with the most corporate volunteers at work sites last year.  Neal Klausner, of Davis & Gilbert, was the Dinner Chairman.

The reigning Miss New Jersey, Ashley Fairfield was on hand to lend support and The Reminiscents of the Jersey City Arts High School entertained us.  It was great to see everyone up, dancing, and enjoying themselves for a good cause!

Mr. and Mrs. Jorge Ferriera of Englewood, two of Habitat newest residents, stated at the dinner, "We finally own our very own home and we say, God bless all of you for making this happen".  Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County is celebrating 15 years of making dreams come true and Steve Singer, President of Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County, announced that the next building sites would be in Garfield, Waldwick and Oradell where Habitat will continue making dreams come true for more Bergen County residents.
